On December 26, 2025, the 2,450-vehicle capacity Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) "HÖegh Autoliners Multifuel PCTC", constructed by China Merchants Heavy Industry (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. for China Spring (Hong Kong) Shipping Co., Ltd., successfully completed its launching at China Merchants Haimen Base. The achievement of this key milestone marks significant progress in the phased construction of the vessel, laying a solid foundation for the timely delivery of the new ship.

It is reported that the vessel is built to the highest standards of future-generation multi-fuel PCTCs, fully compliant with internationally advanced technical and environmental requirements, enabling global operations. Boasting exceptional cargo hold compatibility, it can transport fuel-carrying trucks, passenger vehicles, ro-ro trailers, and highway trailers (including those with batteries). Notably, the 6th and 7th cargo holds are specially designed to carry hydrogen-fueled and natural gas-fueled vehicles, precisely meeting the maritime transportation needs of new energy vehicles.

As the main interior outfitting contractor for the project, Nantong Haijing Ship Decoration Co., Ltd. played a crucial supporting role in advancing the launching milestone. To ensure the efficient realization of this node, the company’s Design Department and on-site Supervision Team maintained close collaboration and seamless coordination: the Design Department proactively identified potential connection challenges between interior outfitting and hull construction, optimized the detailed interior design scheme, and provided precise technical guidance and drawing support for on-site construction; the on-site Supervision Team strictly adhered to construction specifications, closely monitored the entire construction process, conducted comprehensive inspections of key links such as material acceptance, process implementation, and quality assessment, and promptly addressed on-site emergencies. Through efficient synergy and aligned efforts, the two teams not only guaranteed the quality of all interior outfitting work but also accurately matched the overall construction rhythm of the shipyard. Ultimately, they successfully met the progress requirements set by the shipyard on schedule with guaranteed quality, providing solid interior outfitting support for the smooth launching of the vessel.

Leveraging its profound professional technical accumulation and rich service experience, Nantong Haijing has successfully completed the core tasks of design and material production with full support from China Merchants Heavy Industry, and the on-site construction has entered the final sprint phase. Moving forward, Haijing Marine will uphold the work style of "professionalism and rigor" and the management philosophy of "pursuit of excellence". Centering on the overall project objectives, it will coordinate safety, quality, and progress, fully address various construction challenges, assist the shipyard and shipowner in efficiently advancing subsequent work such as interior completion, inspection, and commissioning, and ensure the timely and successful delivery of the project.

The smooth launching of the vessel is not only another achievement of China Merchants Heavy Industry in the field of PCTC construction but also marks a major breakthrough in China’s construction of large-scale green and intelligent car carriers. It provides a replicable "Chinese solution" and innovative model for the low-carbon transformation of the global car carrier industry.

The successful holding of the launching ceremony fully reflects Nantong Haijing’s spirit of contract. Adhering to the service concept of "fulfilling commitments", Nantong Haijing will continue to excel in project construction and service delivery. With strict process quality control and steady project advancement, the company is committed to completing the vessel’s delivery milestones with high quality and efficiency, contributing to the development of the global pure car and passenger ro-ro ship industry.
