On December 29, 2025, the "Offshore Oil 166" self-installation production and processing platform for the West Area of the Weizhou 10-3 Oilfield of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) was successfully launched at the Nantong base of Wuhu Shipyard, marking the completion of its onshore construction.

The "Offshore Oil 166" platform is the largest self-installation production and processing platform independently designed and built in China. It measures 62 meters in length, 46 meters in width, and 6.2 meters in depth, featuring a self-elevating mobile platform structure. It is designed for marginal oilfield development and is capable of crude oil production, water injection, and pipeline transportation. It is suitable for operating in water depths of up to 45 meters. The platform integrates functions such as oil, gas, and water processing, commercial crude oil measurement and export, associated gas compression and export, production water treatment and reinjection, water injection, and pipeline replacement, achieving high levels of integration and digitalization. As the first intelligent self-installation production and processing platform, it incorporates ten intelligent systems including in-situ status and structural safety monitoring, intelligent safety monitoring systems, oil and gas production edge data centers, and intelligent laboratories, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and safety. After completion, the platform will be connected to the Weizhou 10-3 West Area Oilfield through a bridge and will serve the development of the Weizhou 10-3 West Area Oilfield. Its operational capacity reaches international advanced levels, providing key equipment support for the development of deep-sea oil and gas resources in China.

To meet the schedule requirements of the shipowner and the shipyard, and ensure the successful launching of the "Offshore Oil 166" platform, the design department of our company and the on-site supervisor worked in perfect coordination to complete the shipyard's progress milestones on time and with quality.

It is understood that the "Ocean Oil 166" platform will be towed to Weizhou Island in the South China Sea on January 28, 2026. Nantong Haijing Company will fully engage in the remaining project work and will launch a full-scale push towards the delivery deadline to ensure the smooth delivery of the vessel.
