Congratulations on the successful completion of the top of the Yangjiang Qingzhou offshore converter station in the Three Gorges

  On September 21, 2025, the Three Gorges Yangjiang Qingzhou Marine Converter Station Project held a grand topping- ceremony for the upper module at the Zhenhua Heavy Industry Base in Nantong.

  The Qingzhou offshore converter station is one of the key projects of the Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Engineering Group in 2023. Its external are about 82.5 meters by 85.5 meters by 44 meters, the steel structure of the upper assembly block weighs about 17,00 tons, and the total weight including equipment is about 28,000 tons. This project will become an important force to promote the large-scale development of offshore power in China and help achieve the "double carbon" goals, contributing "Chinese wisdom" to the development of the global offshore wind power industry.

  The project will strive to become a global benchmark for offshore wind power engineering technology and has already set six "world leading" records:

1 The world's leading AC/DC hybrid offshore wind power project, which for the first time has realized the efficient collaborative transmission of AC/DC power at sea;

2 The world's leading ±500kV DC submarine cable application project, which has overcome the technical difficulties in laying and operating high-voltage submarine cables;
3. The world's leading single capacity and equipment integration;

4. The world's leading offshore wind power project transmission capacity, which provides key support for the largescale access of clean energy to the grid;

5. The world's leading integrated offshore wind power flexible DC transmission project, which reduces the cost of offshore engineering through highly design;

6. The world's leading voltage level offshore wind power flexible DC transmission project, which promotes the high-end application of flexible DC technology in the field of wind power.

  As the national heavy weapon to achieve the dual carbon goals, the converter station has extremely high requirements for the control of weight, durability and construction labor density of interior decoration project. As the second converter station project undertaken by Nantong Haijing after the Three Gorges Rudong Converter Station, Qingzhou Converter Station is full use of its excellent design and construction experience, high-quality management, and Haijing is actively and orderly assisting in promoting the progress of the project and ensuring the successful of the project.
