Release Date:

2026-04-09

On March 25, 2026, the "Offshore Oil 166", the largest mobile offshore oil production facility in China, was delivered in the Tongzhou Bay Jianghai Integration Demonstration Zone of Nantong. It is the largest in size, heaviest in weight, most fully functional, most intelligent and capable of operating in the deepest water among all self-installation platforms in China to date. The interior outfitting general contracting project of this vessel was undertaken by Nantong Haijing Ship Decoration Co., Ltd.

The platform is 62 meters in length, 46 meters in width, and 6.2 meters in depth. Its deck area is equivalent to that of seven standard basketball courts. It is the largest, heaviest, most fully functional, most intelligent, and capable of operating in the deepest water among all mobile offshore oil production facilities in China. It has a maximum operating water depth of 45 meters, a designed empty ship construction weight of 11,500 tons, and is equipped with four cylindrical legs, with two at the bow and two at the stern. Each leg is 85 meters in total height. It is expected to contribute 500,000 cubic meters of crude oil to CNOOC annually.

The completion and delivery of this platform have set a new record for the construction of similar platforms in China, demonstrating the strong capabilities of China's independent innovation in offshore engineering equipment. It has also set new records for the weight and technical complexity of mobile production and processing platforms in China, and has reached a new height in technical integration. The commissioning of this platform will effectively enhance the oil and gas production capacity in the Beibu Gulf, provide solid and reliable standardized equipment and key technical reserves for the efficient and economic development of marginal oil fields in the future, and inject new impetus into China's offshore oil and gas exploration and development.

In response to the overall construction schedule requirements of the shipyard and to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of the platform, Haijing adhered to the "fulfillment" service concept. Through the joint efforts of the on-site management team and construction teams of Haijing Company, they overcame numerous difficulties and actively cooperated with the shipyard to complete each process and plan, ensuring the smooth delivery of the vessel.
