Nantong Haijing Successfully Completes Interior Decoration Project of CMHI-289 2450-Car PCTC

On April 4, 2026, the 2450-car Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) "HÖegh Autoliners Multifuel PCTC" built by China Merchants Heavy Industry (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. was successfully delivered at China Merchants Haimen Base. As the general contractor for the interior decoration project of the ship, Nantong Haijing Ship Decoration CO., LTD (Nantong Haijing) successfully completed the full-ship interior decoration construction task with exquisite craftsmanship, efficient management and strict quality, helped the high-quality delivery of the project with high-quality engineering, and once again demonstrated its professional strength in the field of high-end ship interior decoration.
The delivered CMHI-289 2450-car PCTC is a green and environment-friendly feeder car ro-ro ship oriented to the global market, with a total length of 139.9 meters, 8 vehicle decks and 2450 standard parking spaces. It is classified by DNV (Det Norske Veritas) of Norway and meets the highest environmental standards such as IMO Tier Ⅲ and EEDI Phase 3.
Nantong Haijing undertook the full-scope interior decoration project of the ship, including the entire living area, public area, office, engine room and corridor, covering the supply and installation of wall panels, ceilings, fire doors, cabin furniture, floor coverings, soft furnishings, etc. The project team strictly followed the international classification society norms and the high standards of the shipowner, selected environmentally friendly and high-quality interior decoration materials, and achieved the perfect unity of functionality, safety, comfort and aesthetics in the limited space.
As a key project of China Merchants Heavy Industry, the ship has a tight construction period, many professional intersections and high quality requirements. Since its entry into the site, the Nantong Haijing project department has set up a professional management and construction team of more than 50 people, adopting the mode of refined management + modular construction to efficiently promote the project. It is worth mentioning that as the first ship of this type built at Haimen Base, it only took 42 days from undocking to being ready for sea trial, and 28 days after undocking to complete the inclining test. Nantong Haijing simultaneously promoted the interior decoration construction and finishing work, helping to greatly shorten the terminal period and practicing the China Merchants spirit of "Time is money, efficiency is life".
