On June 6, 2024, the 5500t double arm frame variable amplitude crane vessel built by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Qidong Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. for CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. was launched successfully in Qidong. This marks the most advanced technology in the same type of ships in China so far, the largest lifting capacity of the double-arm variable amplitude crane has fully entered the boom installation and equipment commissioning stage, providing a solid foundation for the smooth operation of the ship.

The 5500t double-arm variable amplitude crane vessel is named "Second Harbor Excellence", with a total length of 165 meters, a width of 52 meters, a depth of 11 meters, a design draft of 6.5 meters, equipped with 8 point anchoring positioning system, lifting capacity of 5500 tons, its lifting height can cover 130 meters span non-navigable hole bridge hoisting, with 47 meters height limit navigation capacity. It focuses on serving the field of bridge engineering, hydraulic engineering and offshore wind power, and adds core equipment to the construction of large-scale Bridges and offshore wind power in China.

For the first time, the ship has introduced a green energy-saving whole-ship power grid management system on engineering vessels, and adopted green energy-saving technologies such as photovoltaic energy storage, efficient permanent magnet motors, and energy feedback, as well as operational assistant decision-making system, which conforms to the development trend of green and intelligent offshore engineering vessels. The ship is naturalized in CCS Classification Society, and its interior package project is undertaken by Nantong Haijing Ship Decoration Co., LTD.

In order to meet the requirements of shipowners and shipyards for the construction period and ensure the smooth and punctual launch of 5500t, under the coordination of various departments of Haijing Company, the shipyard schedule requirements have been completed with quality and quantity as scheduled, which has been fully affirmed and recognized by shipowners and shipyards.
